3002575373-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Performance Food Group is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead strategic sourcing across key food and supply categories in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. This role oversees supplier selection, contract negotiation, and category strategies that balance cost, quality, and service for restaurant, healthcare, and retail customers. The Director partners closely with operations, logistics, and sales to forecast demand, manage risk, and ensure product availability. You will lead a team, develop KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while supporting PFG's safety-first, performance-driven, and customer-focused culture. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end procurement strategy for key food and supply categories in wholesale distribution Develop and execute category strategies that optimize cost, quality, and service levels Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and service agreements to support margin goals Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance reviews and KPIs Partner with operations, logistics, and sales to forecast demand and ensure product availability Analyze spend, market trends, and cost drivers to identify savings and risk-mitigation opportunities Oversee procurement team performance, coaching, and talent development Implement and enhance procurement processes, systems, and controls to drive efficiency Support compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company policies in all sourcing activities Champion PFG's safety-first, customer-focused, and performance-driven culture across procurement Required Skills Strategic sourcing Contract negotiation Supplier relationship management Category management Cost reduction and margin optimization Data analysis and reporting (Excel/BI tools) ERP and e-procurement systems Inventory and demand planning Risk management in supply chain People leadership and cross-functional collaboration
