Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Key Responsibilities Part 1 - Engineering Sourcing (Rack Architecture) Partner directly with Central Engineering to define and support rack architecture development and system roadmaps Own rack and system infrastructure sourcing strategy, including: networking, power distribution, cooling (air, RDHX, liquid), networking switches, rack-level integration Drive standardization and cost optimization across rack platforms, interconnects, and supporting infrastructure Lead supplier selection, qualification, and engagement for new product development and system evolution Drive continuous improvement of existing rack platforms across: cost, performance, and supply continuity Translate engineering requirements into clear sourcing strategies, RFQs, and supplier performance frameworks Ensure suppliers meet requirements for: performance, scalability, quality and reliability Act as the primary interface between Engineering and Supply Chain for rack infrastructure and subcomponent sourcing decisions Lead adjacent sourcing initiatives aligned to Central Engineering priorities (e.g., interconnects, integration, subsystems), where system-level ownership or cross-functional coordination is required Part 2 - Supplier Business Manager - Rack Ecosystem Build and manage sub supplier relationships aligned with overarching Rack & Image Compute global Strategies.
Initial focus areas include:
networking switches, cables, tbd Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers; lead supplier governance and QBR cadence, capacity management and continuous improvement Ensure suppliers meet requirements for: performance, scalability, quality and reliability Work cross functionally across: IMC Ecosystem, Contract Manufacturing Category, Engineering teams. Contribute to Category Strategies Enhance suppliers' visibility to demand and outward forecast to ensure capacity road map. Negotiate supplier agreements to support capacity and supply strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in strategic sourcing and category management in technical industries Strong ability to operate across: engineering teams supplier ecosystems commercial negotiations Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and system-level sourcing Demonstrated capability in: supplier strategy development cost and contract negotiations supplier performance management Ability to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience, or equivalent advanced degree and experience Experience working in cross-functional environments with engineering and supply chain teams Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and influence stakeholders globally Minimum Qualifications 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree OR 6 years experience with master's degree OR 3 years experience with a PHD; OR equivalent work experience
Base Pay Range:
$102,200.00 - $173,700.00
