Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team. In this role, you will ensure day-to-day material procurement and scheduling requirements are met. This is a "Working Supervisor" position. Defined as someone who has day-to-day tasks that require completion, while also coordinating a small team of people and ensuring completion of their tasks..
NO RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE OF LIVONIA,MI.
Responsibilities Assist with hiring process and provide direct supervision to Analysts Manage customer order process for select programs, including but not limited to, order creation, purchase order creation, job scheduling, updating customer reports etc. Work closely with Inventory Manager to manage incoming flow of materials. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure on time customer shipments across all programs Work with Analysts to ensure timely release coverage and follow up with suppliers Manage critical supply shortages Manage supply base, including but not limited to, routine meetings, order follow up, etc. Responsible for maintaining predetermined inventory levels for assigned programs. Communicate any problems that may affect deliveries. Responsible for ensuring that all customer portals pertaining to customer shipments and/or releases are properly updated Develop and implement SOPs/Continuous Improvement opportunities for Materials Department. Uses company equipment/resources properly & safely and adheres to safety regulations. Perform related duties as necessary, within scope of Material Procurement Supervisor role. Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience as Tier 2/3 Automotive Supplier, material procurement and production scheduling. ERP experience required. Plex experience preferred. EDI, DDL, GM and Ford systems knowledge preferred. Strong attention to detail Strong data analysis skills Strong customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines. Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements. Full-time Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
