Purchasing Manager Description Starting Wage Range $28 - $30 The Category Manager oversees product selection and pricing according to purchasing guidelines set by the Purchasing Team in order to meet Lakewinds objectives of financial benchmarks for sales and margin; as well as our Strategic Initiatives and Mission. Develop and plan compelling in-store promotions. Work with departments to determine optimal product placement. Foster a collaborative relationship with the stores to execute the department's goals. Essential Functions Determine the addition or deletion of products, considering Lakewinds product standards, mission and financial benchmarks Treat customers, co-workers and vendors fairly, consistently and with respect Collaborate with Department Managers to execute product placement to achieve department goals Qualifications 3-year minimum experience purchasing and merchandising for a food retailer. Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry. Proven written, verbal and analytical skills with a strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
