We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimating and Purchasing Manager to lead our project cost estimation and procurement efforts within the construction industry. This pivotal role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing supplier and subcontractor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely procurement of materials and services. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction estimates utilizing industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing, scope, and resource allocation. Lead negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable contract terms, and reliable delivery schedules. Oversee the procurement process from initial purchase requisitions through order placement, tracking deliveries, and managing change orders to adapt to project needs. Collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams to understand project scope, schedule requirements, and site conditions for precise cost control. Manage contract administration including reviewing terms, ensuring compliance, and resolving any contractual issues that arise during project execution. Implement cost control measures by monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, and identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality or safety. Maintain detailed records of estimates, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance to support transparency and continuous improvement. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Construct Connect and Salesforce Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms while fostering positive vendor relationships. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes, including take-offs, quantity surveying, and bid preparation. Experience managing contracts related to construction projects; ability to interpret legal language and ensure compliance. Expertise in cost control techniques to manage budgets effectively throughout project lifecycles. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and experience working on or managing construction sites is a plus.
