Job Description
Patterson is seeking a Sourcing Manager, Private Label to lead strategic sourcing for our dental and animal health product portfolios. In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies, identify and qualify suppliers, and negotiate contracts that optimize cost, quality, and service. You will partner closely with product management, operations, and finance to support new product launches, margin improvement, and supply continuity. This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills, as well as experience in wholesale, distribution, or healthcare-related supply chains. Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for private label dental and animal health products Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic and global suppliers Manage vendor performance, contracts, and risk to ensure quality and continuity of supply Collaborate with product management, finance, and operations on cost, quality, and service goals Analyze spend, market trends, and cost drivers to deliver savings and margin improvement Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and ethical sourcing standards Support new product introductions and lifecycle management for private label lines Continuously improve sourcing processes, tools, and supplier relationships Required Skills Strategic sourcing Supplier negotiation Contract management Cost analysis and cost modeling Spend analysis and reporting Vendor performance management Category management Supply risk management Private label product sourcing Cross-functional collaboration
