As our Purchasing Manager, you will be the strategic driver behind how we source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships. You will work with our Purchasing Agent and our Production and Warehouse Departments, with the end goal of offering exceptional products and services to our customers.
Applicant Requirements:
Experience with purchasing in the Chemical Industry required 7+ years of Purchasing or related experience Employee management preferred Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Strong communication skills Able to work independently and as a team Capable of working successfully with co-workers and vendors Able to work with multiple departments within the company Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyEssential Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Purchasing Department. Effectively supervise department personnel, ensuring optimal performance. Purchase order entry Order raw materials and other supplies Locate and research new vendors Establish and maintain professional business relations with vendors Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, and participate in bi-yearly inventory counts Assist in tracking and resolving purchasing and inventory problems or discrepancies Establish and maintain good communication and working relations with company personnel and management Seacole is an EOE offering a competitive compensation program and an excellent benefit package.Job Type:
