VP of Procurement - Foodservice Rice, MN | $125,000 to $150,000 per year This role oversees all aspects of product procurement for a food distribution company, including manufacturer program negotiation, vendor bill-back and inbound freight profitability, staff hiring and development, and execution of annual marketing programs. The VP of Procurement works cross-functionally to support corporate goals set by senior leadership and plays a key role in the company's food distribution operations.

$125,000 to $150,000 per year What You'll Do The VP of Procurement supervises procurement associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution, and manages inventory levels to optimize the company's financial position, negotiating with vendors for the best pricing and programs while managing cash flow and service levels. This includes disposing of proprietary inventory from lost customers and maintaining fill-rate service levels in line with company standards. This role interacts directly with customers and vendors to resolve inquiries accurately and promptly, and establishes procedures that improve the efficiency and productivity of the purchasing department. The VP of Procurement continually improves purchasing strategies based on knowledge of the food distribution industry and may also oversee the marketing and merchandising function.
