$66,500 annually Position Overview Gansevoort Hotel Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchaser / Receiver to support procurement and inventory operations across our hotel and food & beverage outlets. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless flow of goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Purchasing & Inventory Management Manage purchasing across multiple liquor licenses (SLA compliance required) Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Hotel and F&B teams to maintain optimal stock Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers Analyze costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency Ensure all products meet quality standards and operational needs Maintain organization and inventory of all storage facilities Enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) practices across all revenue centers Support and assist with batch cocktail program inventory and training Receiving & Storage Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments and deliveries Verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders Identify and report damaged or incorrect goods Properly label, organize, and store inventory in designated areas Assist with inventory audits and stock counts to ensure accuracy Qualifications Prior experience in purchasing, receiving, or inventory management , preferably within hospitality or F&B Strong understanding of stock control and inventory procedures Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with vendors and internal teams Professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure Flexible availability Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift) Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds regularly Comfortable with frequent movement across the property Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed What We Offer Competitive salary Opportunity to work within a luxury hospitality environment Growth potential within a dynamic and collaborative team Please note that the responsibilities listed above are not intended to be all-encompassing and may evolve based on business needs.
