Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our supply chain. The Procurement Manager must comply with all plant
GMP, SQF
Quality and Safety, Food Safety and Bio-Security procedures. This position is back-up by the President. They must ensure that their department has a food safety culture that is developed, maintained, and monitored. The Procurement Manager is responsible for directing the sourcing of all materials and vendors to mitigate supply disruption and maintain an efficient flow of goods and services affecting production. Duties Develop and lead raw material and packaging sourcing initiatives to satisfy production and customer demand. • Analyze operational data and trends, manage change, develop productivity tools, and serve as a process auditor. Develop risk management procedures to mitigate supply disruption. • Forecast costs, demand, and supply to assist in pricing strategy and promotions. Continuously monitor existing suppliers' capabilities, operational strength and quality. Qualify new vendors on the same basis. Collaborate with Commercialization team in the sourcing of components and / or finished goods for new product launches. Oversee the creation of new contracts with key suppliers and lead the renewal of existing contracts. Communication with senior leadership regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production. Work with suppliers to maintain a safety stock. Oversee RFP's where appropriate. Ensure all staff know that should report any food safety concerns to management. Interface with key suppliers to solve pricing, quality and delivery matters. Direct the negotiations on sourcing and cost reduction initiatives to ensure favorable prices, terms, lead times and continuous cost out initiatives. Facilitate the implementation of best practices with vendors and suppliers. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, supply chain or related field Knowledge of E21 is desired. Strong negotiating skills At minimum 7 years of direct management experience in purchasing Ability to work well with a team in a high-stress and fast-paced environment Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Work and industry standard purchase order software platforms Experience with commodity and Buy/Sell purchasing Past purchasing experience with Cheese suppliers is desired Join us as a Procurement Manager to shape our supply chain strategy while fostering innovation through effective vendor partnerships!
