Job Description

Duties Coordinate procurement activities utilizing systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and other ERP platforms to streamline purchasing processes. Manage vendor communication effectively, fostering strong relationships through direct negotiation and ongoing engagement. Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate inventory control and timely replenishment aligned with demand forecasts. Support sourcing initiatives by identifying suppliers, evaluating proposals, and executing competitive bidding processes. Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, purchase orders, and procurement documentation within accounting software and spreadsheets. Analyze Excel data for procurement trends, pricing analysis, and cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to coordinate delivery schedules, monitor MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and optimize supply chain flow. Assist in negotiating vendor terms, pricing agreements, and service levels to maximize value. Monitor supply chain performance metrics; identify areas for process improvements and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations while supporting purchasing management systems. Skills Proficiency with ERP systems such as
SAP, SAP ERP, JD
Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 for procurement and materials management. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including inventory control, logistics, sourcing, and vendor relationship management. Experience with purchasing management systems (technically supported) and contract administration. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors at all levels. Advanced skills in Excel data analysis for pricing strategies, procurement trends, and reporting purposes. Knowledge of MRP systems and direct negotiation procurement techniques to secure optimal sourcing solutions. Familiarity with accounting software integration related to procurement activities; understanding of merchandising principles is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
