Corporation we are looking for a Purchasing Manager at our location in Erie Purchasing Manager Develops, manages, and oversees administration of procurement policies, methods, and systems to provide direct material and indirect materials, equipment, and supplies to all assigned manufacturing operations. Duties include managing a procure-to-pay duties for centralized control. Responsible for coordinating local purchasing negotiations, contracts, identifying needs to purchase, overseeing pricing to include fiscal year price updates in the purchasing system, consolidation of suppliers, reduction of inventory, coordinating cost savings projects, managing purchasing staff, and providing reports to management. This positions interfaces with Manufacturing, Planning, Finance, external suppliers, Sales, Engineering, and Logistics.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Interface with all levels of production to determine demand requirements and assist in establishing inventory levels across multiple plant locations. Identify alternative cost-effective sources for materials and services Analyze cost reduction opportunities based on price, volume purchases, freight, and payment terms in accordance with corporate policies. Responsible for year-over-year cost savings. Negotiate and develop methods to track actual dollar savings. Manage and control material tooling requirements supporting minimal monies invested in inventory. Development and maintenance of a strong, dedicated supply base for assigned plant location(s) as a result of consistent monitoring of vendor activities via written, oral, and interpersonal communication. Supervise Buyer(s) to ensure timely delivery of all purchased items in accordance with production forecasts. Negotiate contracts and review purchase awards to obtain maximum service for minimal charges across the corporation. Arrange and conduct supplier surveys and manage supplier performance evaluation program. Development and maintenance of purchasing and reporting systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related function Minimum 10 years' experience in Purchasing, Operations, or Supply Chain positions, preferably within a manufacturing environment. At least 5 years' experience in a supervisory role. Expert knowledge of systems, procedures, and techniques to develop and implement action plans.
