Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and optimize our supply chain processes. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization. Manage end-to-end purchasing processes using ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Oversee demand planning and production planning activities to synchronize procurement with manufacturing schedules and inventory needs. Coordinate logistics inventory management and warehouse operations to optimize logistics flow and reduce waste through continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, plant management, operations management, and logistics to streamline supply chain planning and execution. Implement enterprise solutions for procurement, supply chain management, and warehouse management systems to enhance operational efficiency. Analyze Excel data reports and SQL-based data sets to identify trends, forecast needs, and support decision-making processes. Drive the implementation of software solutions related to ERP systems, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and logistics management tools. Lead team members in procurement activities, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and ongoing development. Requirements Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing or industrial environment with familiarity in SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or similar enterprise solutions. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including demand planning, production planning, logistics inventory management, and logistics operations. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across departments such as manufacturing, warehouse management systems (WMS), and plant operations. Proficiency in Excel data analysis tools and SQL for reporting insights and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Experience with software implementation projects related to enterprise solutions such as ERP systems or warehouse management systems (WMS). In-depth understanding of MRP systems, lean manufacturing techniques, and process optimization methodologies. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with procurement experience that emphasizes cost reduction without compromising quality or delivery timelines. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while driving operational excellence.
