Job Description

The Purchasing Manager will be a key member and will be responsible for managing mill contracts, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and help execute on cost savings opportunities. This position will be based at the New Johnsonville Paper Mill and report to the Maintenance Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepares purchase orders, solicits bid proposals, and reviews requisitions for goods and services across the company, as well as, provide local plant support Researches and evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history Formulates policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services Evaluates and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes Assist in identifying and executing on cost savings opportunities within the supply chain Basic Qualifications Bachelor s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience within Purchasing Role in a Manufacturing Environment Three (3) or more years of experience in supply chain or procurement type role Experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel using formulas, functions, and Pivot Tables; Outlook for email & calendar management; Word to view & edit documents Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or Business Administration Experience in the Paper Industry Experience performing data analysis Experience with negotiating contracts or service agreements Here's Why You'll Love Working at
