Project Buyer Hithium Tech USA Inc HQ Forney, TX Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering Manufacturing company experience Stakeholder relationship building Stakeholder management Full Job Description Project Buyer The Project Buyer (Battery Energy Storage System) will be a key contributor to the organization's project and manufacturing operations, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services while managing project-specific procurement activities. This role serves as a technical liaison between engineering teams and suppliers to ensure customer requirements, cost targets, lead times, quality standards, and project schedules are achieved. The ideal candidate possesses strong procurement, project management, and analytical skills, along with experience in energy storage, power conversion systems, or related industries. Essential Responsibilities Gather and analyze customer requirements and oversee the end-to-end order fulfillment process, including cost management, lead-time control, quality assurance, and logistics coordination. Conduct vendor assessments to identify and qualify suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and reliability. Develop and distribute Requests for Proposal (RFPs) outlining specifications and procurement requirements. Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal sourcing solutions that align with budgetary and quality objectives. Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and contractual agreements. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations. Collaborate with quality teams to ensure purchased materials and services meet required specifications and quality standards. Manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition through delivery, ensuring timely and accurate execution. Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships to support long-term partnerships and continuous cost improvement initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams and suppliers to address technical specifications, design requirements, and issue resolution. Administer supplier contracts and agreements to support both short-term project goals and long-term business objectives. Participate in procurement process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skill and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required. Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing, energy, or related industry. Experience in PCS (Power Conversion Systems) and/or EMS (Energy Management Systems) industries is highly preferred. Energy industry experience is strongly preferred. Solid experience with supplier and vendor management. Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. Experience leading or supporting cost-reduction initiatives. Strong understanding of technical blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation. Knowledge of quality assurance processes and quality control standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Strong data analysis and project management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting, cost analysis, and financial modeling. This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
