Job Description Day to DayA Global Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support large-scale power generation and infrastructure projects serving hyperscale data center customers. This individual will partner with engineering, project management, construction, operations, and executive leadership teams to ensure critical equipment is sourced, procured, and delivered to support aggressive project schedules.
This person will play a key role in supporting behind-the-meter power generation projects that are helping address growing energy demands created by the rapid expansion of AI and data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
Develop sourcing strategies for long-lead and critical project equipmentLead supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and commercial contracting activitiesManage supplier relationships across power generation, electrical infrastructure, and industrial equipment providersPartner with Engineering teams to understand technical specifications and procurement requirementsDrive procurement activities for gas turbines, electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, transformers, generators, and related capital equipmentEvaluate supplier performance including cost, quality, delivery, and risk metricsDevelop risk mitigation strategies for critical equipment and supply chain constraintsSupport project execution by ensuring equipment and materials are delivered according to scheduleNegotiate pricing, service agreements, and commercial terms with strategic suppliersCollaborate with Project Managers, Construction Teams, Logistics, Engineering, and Finance throughout project lifecyclesSupport multiple concurrent infrastructure projects in various stages of development and executionTrack global market conditions and supplier trends impacting project delivery Skills and Requirements Must Have QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management experienceExperience supporting large-scale industrial, energy, power generation, construction, EPC, or infrastructure projectsExperience negotiating supplier agreements, pricing, and commercial contractsExperience sourcing capital equipment and working with technical stakeholdersAbility to partner directly with Engineering, Operations, Construction, and Project Management teamsExperience managing supplier relationships and supplier performance metricsStrong understanding of procurement strategy, supplier development, and risk managementExperience working in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsAbility to work onsite in Houston five days per weekPreferred QualificationsPower generation experienceGas turbine procurement experienceExperience sourcing electrical infrastructure equipmentEPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) backgroundUtility industry experienceData center infrastructure experienceBehind-the-meter generation project experienceExperience supporting hyperscale infrastructure projects
