Position Summary:
To provide leadership and overall direction to assigned service lines within the Sourcing program by using strategic relationships with member executives, committee members, clinicians, and other healthcare leaders to drive cost-savings and achieve quality outcomes. This position will collaboratively develop strategies with our partners to produce efficiencies and financial value for the TPC Members while maintaining oversight for and coordination with consultants on clinical initiatives. This person must possess executive presence in the areas of confidence, accountability, and strategic communications. It is crucial that this person can gain trust and credibility with our members through forward-thinking and decisive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the work plan and initiatives within assigned service lines to meet TPC and Members' Key Performance Indicators and financial goals. In collaboration with Member stakeholders and subject matter experts, identify and build the service line and purchased services work plan to support current and long-term participation in service line initiatives. Facilitate and manage committee meetings and engagement for assigned service lines. Deliver exceptional customer service in every interaction with members and internal teams. Coordinate and professionally present all service line initiatives to various councils such as the Supply Chain Council, the Purchased Services Operating Committee, Executive Steering Committee, and others and keep the Councils well-informed on those initiatives. Continuously seeks to understand and communicate a common understanding of TPC's strategy with co-workers, direct reports, and key member relationships. Effectively manage how TPC priorities support or detract from Member's priorities and leads well to reconcile conflicts that may impact the collaborative path to improving financial, operational, and clinical performance. In collaboration with hospital leaders and subject matter experts: identify and build the service line workplan that meets TPC and Member objectives to include new areas of opportunity. Oversee the completion of complex initiatives, following TPC processes, from analysis, strategy development, member participation, negotiations, contracting, and member sign-off in a timely manner. Provide guidance on analytics for reporting on assigned Service Lines to ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and actionable. Using a blend of quality, cost, and outcome data, provide oversight and direction in the analytics for initiatives and ensure that they are accurate. Collaborate closely with Members to ensure that initiatives are acknowledged in a timely manner and assist with education in the process, as needed. Focus on executing initiatives with value across all Members. When appropriate, recommend that certain initiatives are performed as a pre-commit and ensure that the pre-commit process is followed for those initiatives.

Ability to master new technologies as they are made available to the Purchased Services team. Effective presentation skills that include consensus building and adaptability. Problem solving ability that demonstrates proficiency in balancing the need to achieve results and meet the needs of TPC members. Business development skills include proficiency in understanding complex business analytics and research opportunities.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Business or Healthcare preferred.
Experience:
Ten years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above. Extensive experience working within purchased services categories such as capital equipment, facilities, support services, information technology, insurance, and others is required.
Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in managing cost savings initiatives, including building consensus, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing management of contractual agreements in a healthcare setting in the contracting categories that typically relate to Purchased Services. Strong presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings/formats. Ability to solve problems, be proactive, and take action to achieve goals beyond what is required.
Travel:
Travel is estimated to be 25%.
