$110K - $135K (DOE)Position SummaryIf you're an experienced Purchasing Manager looking to lead a team, drive strategic sourcing initiatives, and make a direct impact on operational performance, please read on. We're seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and lead a small team of purchasing professionals. The ideal candidate combines strategic sourcing expertise with strong operational execution and enjoys working cross-functionally to solve challenges related to supply, cost, inventory, and supplier performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of purchasing professionalsDevelop sourcing plans that support business objectives, operational needs, and cost targetsEvaluate, select, and cultivate supplier partnerships to improve reliability, pricing, and service levelsLead negotiations involving supplier agreements, pricing structures, and commercial termsIdentify opportunities to reduce spend and improve procurement efficiency across the supply baseMonitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and capacityPartner closely with production planning and operations teams to ensure material requirements are metManage purchasing activities within ERP/MRP systems and maintain accurate procurement dataReview inventory trends and purchasing metrics to support inventory optimization initiativesAnalyze spending patterns, supplier data, and market conditions to support sourcing decisionsCoordinate escalation efforts for critical shortages and high-priority procurement issuesTrack departmental performance metrics and implement improvement plans as neededCollaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and finance teams on business initiatives and continuous improvement effortsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered7+ years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environmentPrior experience supervising or leading purchasing personnelDemonstrated success managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and sourcing initiativesStrong understanding of material planning, inventory management, and manufacturing supply chainsExperience working with ERP and MRP systems; Oracle experience is a plusAdvanced Excel and data analysis skillsFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six SigmaKnowledge of quality-focused manufacturing environments is preferredEffective communicator with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilitiesBenefitsCompetitive SalaryMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time OffPaid Holidays
