Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of vendor contracts, ensuring the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will help optimize procurement processes, enhance supplier relationships, and support our organizational goals through innovative sourcing strategies. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, including category management and strategic sourcing initiatives. Payroll and Accounting Experience Lead contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining compliance with procurement regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable standards. Manage procurement activities using advanced ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and E-procurement platforms to streamline purchasing workflows and improve efficiency. Oversee vendor contract management and supplier performance evaluations to foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and project teams to align procurement activities with production planning and supply chain needs. Conduct root cause analysis for procurement issues, identifying process improvements in areas like pricing, materials management, and logistics. Qualifications Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or federal sectors, with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles. Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing techniques. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms; experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of procurement regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), public sector purchasing standards, and procurement contract law. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Excellent negotiation skills combined with analytical thinking for root cause analysis and problem-solving. Familiarity with procurement category management, e-procurement systems, logistics coordination, pricing strategies, and quality assurance processes.
