2989937611-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and procurement for data center infrastructure. You will own category strategy, run complex RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage key suppliers to ensure capacity, resiliency, and cost efficiency across a global data center footprint. Partner with data center operations, engineering, finance, and legal to forecast demand, mitigate risk, and deliver total cost of ownership savings. You will leverage data-driven insights, AWS scale, and long-term thinking to shape our sourcing roadmap and support rapid global growth. Responsibilities Develop and execute global category strategies for data center infrastructure sourcing and procurement Lead complex RFP/RFI processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations Manage vendor relationships to ensure performance, capacity, quality, and risk mitigation Collaborate with data center operations, engineering, finance, and legal on demand planning and requirements Analyze spend, market trends, and total cost of ownership to drive cost savings and value creation Identify and mitigate supply chain, operational, and commercial risks across the data center portfolio Support scalability and standardization of sourcing processes, tools, and best practices Provide data-driven insights and reporting to senior leadership on category performance Required Skills Strategic sourcing Contract negotiation Supplier relationship management Data center infrastructure procurement Cost optimization and TCO analysis Category management RFP/RFI development and management Risk management and vendor compliance Financial and spend analysis (Excel/BI tools) Cross-functional stakeholder management
