Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement and supplier management initiatives in Chester, VA. This pivotal role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the organization's supply chain operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with procurement regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging their expertise in procurement systems, contract negotiation, and supply chain management to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals across various procurement categories. Lead contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels while maintaining compliance with federal acquisition regulations and internal policies. Manage procurement processes utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and E-procurement platforms to streamline purchasing activities and enhance visibility. Oversee vendor contract management and supplier performance evaluations to foster strong relationships and ensure quality standards are met. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and project teams to support production planning and materials management initiatives. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or procurement issues to identify solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain thorough knowledge of procurement regulatory frameworks including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) to ensure all sourcing activities adhere to legal standards. Qualifications Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or federal government sectors, with a strong background in strategic sourcing and category management. Expertise in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other e-procurement tools for procurement contract management and supply chain operations. Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, vendor management, and supplier relationship development. Knowledge of procurement regulations including FAR, public sector purchasing policies, and procurement regulatory compliance. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent negotiation skills combined with analytical capabilities for root cause analysis and problem-solving within supply chain contexts. Familiarity with logistics, materials management, production planning, pricing strategies, quality management practices, and manufacturing processes. $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
