full-time Sr. Manager, Sourcing & Product Development Position Overview The Senior Product Development & Sourcing Manager leads global sourcing strategies to deliver optimal value, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage product development and production throughout the product life cycle. Responsibilities include complex costing, vendor allocation, sample management, product development strategy, and vendor onboarding. The position also partners with senior leadership to support department strategy and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Manage assigned product categories while leading, mentoring, and overseeing the work of direct reports. Collaborate with merchandising, design, technical design, planning, and suppliers. Develop and execute product development and sourcing strategies. Conduct detailed product and cost analyses. Evaluate and onboard new vendors based on business requirements. Lead vendor allocation decisions. Oversee product costing and sampling processes. Ensure development activities remain aligned with established timelines. Coordinate regularly with international sourcing teams to maintain alignment on business priorities. Monitor and report on key sourcing and development metrics. Identify and resolve product development issues with international partners. Manage photo sample processes, including on-time performance and supplier-related costs. Contribute to long-term sourcing strategies and operational improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Design, Product Development, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 7+ years of relevant professional experience. 3+ years of management experience. Strong understanding of product development and sourcing processes. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and manage direct reports. Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Ability to lead meetings and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong knowledge of fabric and garment construction and product costing. Strategic and critical-thinking skills. Solution-oriented and customer-focused approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Experience working with international agents, vendors, and factories. Willingness and ability to travel internationally or domestically as required.
