Job Description:
The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing - HR, Finance & Corporate Services leads global category strategy and execution across key corporate function categories, including HR Services, Total Rewards, HR Technology, Insurance, Finance, Consulting, and related Corporate Services. This role is accountable for the output, performance, and continued maturity of these global category disciplines, while also supporting procurement priorities across multiple North America brands. This individual translates broader procurement and functional strategy into actionable category plans, departmental goals, sourcing roadmaps, governance practices, supplier management routines, and performance metrics. The role requires deep procurement expertise across more than one specialized category, broad knowledge across related corporate function areas, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence diverse global stakeholders through complex, non-routine decisions. Operating in a greenfield procurement environment, this individual will help establish scalable procurement practices, guide the development of new policies and approaches, improve supplier performance, deliver cost optimization, and create measurable enterprise value. The role will also advise business leaders on complex procurement matters and support team capability-building as the function matures.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Leading Procurement Transformation o Translate procurement functional strategy into category plans, departmental goals, sourcing roadmaps, and governance routines.
o Lead the development of new procurement policies, practices, and ideas across assigned category areas. o Build and scale procurement capabilities, including standardized processes, policies, governance frameworks, and performance disciplines. o Establish KPIs, metrics, and methodologies to improve productivity, reduce maverick spend, mitigate risk, and measure functional impact.
  • Building and Maturing the Procurement Function o Develop and implement standardized procurement processes in a greenfield environment o Educate and influence stakeholders on procurement best practices and value creation o Strengthen supplier governance and ensure alignment with corporate objectives
  • Category & Strategy Leadership o Accountable for owning and executing global category strategies across HR Services, Total Rewards, HR Technology, Insurance, Finance, Consulting, and related Corporate Services categories.
o Set departmental and category goals that align with broader procurement and business strategy. o Lead cross-functional stakeholders in the development and execution of sourcing strategies that align with business priorities, brand needs, risk considerations, and long-term functional objectives. o Leverage global scale, regional insights, and category expertise to optimize spend, improve supplier performance, and deliver enterprise value.
  • Supplier & Contract Management o Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiations across global and North America priorities.
o Negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, rebates, service levels, payment terms, contract value, and risk provisions. o Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, service levels, and relationship governance to drive continuous improvement and innovation. o Advise business leaders on complex supplier, sourcing, contracting, and risk-related decisions.
  • Performance & Value Delivery o Accountable for category-level financial outcomes, including spend visibility, savings delivery, budget impact, supplier economics, and contract value.
o Deliver year-over-year savings, demand management, productivity improvement, supplier performance improvement, and risk reduction across assigned categories. o Own and develop procurement metrics, dashboards, supplier scorecards, and improvement plans to ensure contract compliance and KPI performance. o Solve complex, ambiguous procurement and supplier challenges where information may be limited, balancing cost, service, risk, stakeholder needs, and longer-term business implications.
  • Leadership & Change Management o Lead and influence cross-functional teams through procurement transformation, sourcing decisions, and change initiatives.
o Convey complex procurement, supplier, and financial information to diverse stakeholders across functions, brands, regions, and cultures. o Develop recommendations and business cases to persuade stakeholders and gain alignment on sourcing, supplier, risk, and procurement transformation decisions.
Minimum Required Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or procurement transformation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in more than one specialized indirect procurement category, with broad knowledge across related corporate function categories such as HR Services, Total Rewards, HR Technology, Insurance, Finance, Consulting, or Corporate Services.
  • Proven experience building or transforming procurement organizations, ideally within a greenfield or evolving environment
  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management (including multi-year agreements)
  • Demonstrated success leading change management and cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience setting category or departmental goals aligned to functional strategy.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing spend, savings targets, supplier economics, budgets, and contract value.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions, brands, regions, and cultures.
  • Experience solving complex, ambiguous business problems and developing longer-term procurement solutions.
  • Knowledge of business law and contracting principles

  • Innovative, solutions-oriented approach to developing new procurement policies, practices, and capabilities.
