Our Vision Our vision is to eliminate suicide among youth in West Alabama.

Primarily Monday-Friday during school hours Position Summary The Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation is seeking an energetic and dependable Program Facilitator to deliver social-emotional learning, mental health, and suicide prevention programming to students throughout West Alabama. The Program Facilitator will work primarily in school settings and is responsible for facilitating engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that support students' social-emotional development, mental health, and overall well-being. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable speaking in front of groups, and can create a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Facilitate KAYF social-emotional learning, mental health, and suicide prevention lessons in schools and community settings. Deliver structured, high-quality programming in accordance with KAYF curriculum, training, and program standards. Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for students. Use effective classroom management and positive behavior guidance techniques. Prepare program materials and supplies before each lesson or activity. Administer and collect pre- and post-program assessments and other evaluation materials. Accurately track student participation, attendance, and other required program data. Communicate effectively with teachers, school counselors, social workers, administrators, and other school personnel. Maintain professionalism and appropriate confidentiality when working with students and school partners. Participate in required KAYF staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Travel to assigned schools and program sites throughout Tuscaloosa and surrounding West Alabama communities. Assist with KAYF programs, community events, and special initiatives as needed. Perform other program-related duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Executive Director. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution preferred. Documentation may be required. Experience working with children or youth strongly preferred. Experience teaching, facilitating lessons, presenting to groups, or managing a classroom is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively engage students of different ages and backgrounds. Must be dependable, organized, punctual, energetic, and professional. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their well-being. Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned program locations are required.

Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, speak, hear, and use their hands to handle program materials and equipment. The employee may occasionally sit on the floor while working with children and must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
