Job Description
Program Coordinator Are you energetic, outgoing, and great with kids and families? We're looking for a charismatic and enthusiastic team member to help create unforgettable experiences at our children's museum! This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys bringing fun and creativity to every day. About the Role As a Program Coordinator, first and foremost you will be working on the Museum floor — welcoming guests, engaging children in hands-on activities, helping maintain exhibits, keeping the museum clean and organized, and creating a warm, playful atmosphere for families. As Program Coordinator, you will also develop and cultivate enriching and engaging programs within one of the fastest growing nonprofit organizations in Yuma County. Programming is the crux of what sets us apart. You'll create a full calendar of activities for all ages - from science experiments to unique art opportunities to sensory experiences, the Museum will thrive on the creativity that you impart to this work. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing the social media strategies that will bring attention to the programming you develop. You will use the Museum's brand and values in order to create, schedule and publish engaging content across social media platforms in order to increase audience engagement and attendance in the Museum. Responsibilities Engage and interact positively with children and families Help maintain a fun, safe, and welcoming environment Keep exhibit areas clean, stocked, and organized throughout the day Answer guest questions and provide excellent customer service Support museum operations as part of a collaborative team Create at least 3 meaningful and unique programming experiences per week Post at least 5 engaging social media posts per week including one reel Create a "months-view" calendar each month of all programming Maintain Museum website to reflect upcoming events and programming Set, monitor and react to information gleaned from KPIs What We're Looking For Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality Comfortable speaking with children and adults High energy and enthusiasm Reliable, punctual, and adaptable Team-player mentality Ability to multitask in a busy environment Weekend availability preferred Experience working with children, customer service, education, camps, museums, or entertainment Comfortability with Canva, Instagram, Facebook Knowledge of Wordpress preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Comfortable working in a lively, active environment with children Why You'll Love Working Here Fun and upbeat work environment Meaningful work that impacts children and families Opportunities to be creative and interactive every day A workplace filled with imagination, laughter, and community
