The Programs Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Programs Department, ensuring the successful implementation of Giving Children Hope's programs and services. Reporting directly to the Director of Programs, this position provides supervision, guidance, and support to department staff while overseeing program operations, planning, and execution. In this role, the manager serves as the primary operational leader for the department, ensuring staff have the direction, resources, and support needed to perform their responsibilities effectively. This individual works closely with the Director of Programs to implement strategic initiatives, strengthen departmental operations, and maintain effective collaboration with internal teams and community partners. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills who can effectively lead people, manage projects, and accomplish departmental priorities. Success in this role requires the ability to build and lead a high-performing team, manage multiple priorities, cultivate strong community partnerships, and ensure departmental objectives, grant commitments, and program outcomes are achieved. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Team Leadership & Supervision Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to Programs Department staff. Establish clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Assist with onboarding, training, and performance evaluations. Promote effective communication and collaboration within the department. Monitor departmental workload and allocate resources to ensure priorities are completed efficiently and responsibilities are distributed effectively 2. Program Management & Operations Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data, participant feedback, and organizational priorities. Oversee the day-to-day implementation of departmental programs. Develop work plans, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of program priorities. Identify and implement improvements to operational processes and program effectiveness. Ensure programs are delivered consistently and in accordance with organizational and grant standards. 3. Partnership & Community Engagement Develop and maintain positive working relationships with school districts, community organizations, volunteers, and other external partners. Represent Giving Children Hope within the community while developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners. Support the planning and coordination of program events and community activities. 4. Planning, Reporting & Administration Monitor program outcomes and maintain accurate program records. Collect, analyze, and report program data to support organizational planning, grant reporting, and continuous improvement. Monitor progress toward program objectives and grant-funded outcomes, ensuring departmental activities align with established goals and performance measures. Work collaboratively with the Director of Programs to ensure grant deliverables, reporting requirements, and program milestones are achieved. 5. Departmental Support Work closely with the Director of Programs to implement strategic initiatives and departmental priorities. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure effective communication and program support. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and objectives of Giving Children Hope.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Human Services, Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in program management, nonprofit leadership, or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or people management experience. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn organizational databases and technology platforms. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
