Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Harmony At Home is seeking a part-time, year-round Carmel Office On-Site Clinical Counselor to provide high-quality, trauma-informed counseling services to children, parents, and families. The Counselor works collaboratively with the Director of Clinical & Education Services to ensure effective service delivery, compliance, and continuity of care.
Hours:
Variable hours depending on client and program needs
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate ranges between $28 - $45 depending on the services provided, qualifications and experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling to children, parents, and families, including participants in the Family First Program Maintain an assigned caseload and meet expected service delivery standards Deliver services in person at the Carmel office Maintain accurate and timely client records in Salesforce, including weekly documentation and completed progress notes signed by supervising clinicians Follow established treatment plans, assessments, and program protocols Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision and consultation Maintain regular communication with program leadership regarding client care, program needs, and operational updates Submit monthly and other required reports in a timely manner Report any concerns related to client safety or welfare to the Clinical Supervisor immediately File mandated reports (e.g., Child Protective Services) in compliance with applicable laws and agency policy Support program growth and improvement through collaboration with DCES Represent and promote Harmony At Home's mission in the community Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the Counseling Program
SCHEDULE & CLASSIFICATION
Part-time, year-round position (schedule based on program needs) Schedule may vary, including some evening hours
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) with an associate number (A#) or licensed Active BBS registration (A#) or licensure Current training in Law and Ethics; must maintain compliance with BBS requirements Ability to manage a consistent caseload and maintain strong documentation practices Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
Attend mandatory annual orientation and ongoing trainings Adhere to all legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; violations will be reported to the BBS Coordinate time off with supervisors and ensure continuity of client care Maintain responsiveness via phone and email during work hours Safeguard all client information in accordance with agency policy Maintain timely and accurate documentation; program support hours are not intended for documentation catch-up
PHYSICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and transport up to 30 lbs. (files, materials, supplies); rolling cart provided Completion of TB test every 3 years (reimbursable) Successful completion of background check; subsequent arrests may impact employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience with Harmony At Home programs Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish and English Demonstrated ability to maintain a full caseload and strong attendance record No disciplinary actions within the past 12 months
