Job Description

The City is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Community Services Program Coordinator . This promotional opportunity is ideal for employees who are passionate about creating exceptional recreation experiences, leading dynamic programs, and making a positive impact in the community. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and evaluating a wide variety of recreation programs, special events, aquatics, cultural arts, childcare, sports, and facility operations. This position offers the opportunity to lead and mentor staff, collaborate with community partners, oversee program operations and budgets, and help shape high-quality recreational services that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This position will be assigned to
Special Events:
Responsible for planning and coordinating City Wide special events working with various vendors, marketing, and assisting with creating the budget. This includes working with non-profit organizations, handling the co-sponsorship program, outside rentals, and other related duties.THIS POSITION REQUIRES HAVING TO WORK NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, AND MANDATORY HOLIDAYS.
Additional Program Areas:
Senior Services- Coordinate programs and services that support social, recreational, and wellness needs of older adults. Sports Leagues
- Organize, schedule, and manage youth and adult sports leagues, ensuring smooth operations and quality participant experiences. Kids Club
- Oversee daily after-school program activities, ensuring safe supervision, enrichment, and positive engagement for youth. Camps
- Plan and lead camp programming throughout the year, ensuring safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate experiences for all campers. Aquatics
- Manage aquatic programs, staffing, and safety operations to ensure high-quality swim lessons, recreation, and facility compliance. Volunteers
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers to ensure effective and meaningful program assistance. Sponsorships
- Develop and maintain sponsor partnerships to secure resources, enhance events, and strengthen community engagement.
