We design and ship intelligent products for established businesses, from AI systems to consumer apps to enterprise platforms, for clients like Sony, Honda, and Maui Jim. We hold ourselves to a high standard of craft and client service, and we are deliberately building a team that reflects it. Why this role exists As our client roster grows, we need someone to own the entire arc of a client relationship, from the first serious conversation through delivery and beyond, so that every engagement lands, renews, and expands. This is the person who turns a signed statement of work into a long-term partnership. This is the entry point into our client engagement team, and we will train you into it. You do not need to have done this job before. You need to be sharp, organized, and genuinely good with people. What success looks like Early on, you will shadow engagements and support proposals and client communication. Within a year, you will be running your own client relationships end to end: keeping engagements on track, drafting proposals, and starting to source and close new work alongside leadership and marketing. The ceiling here is real. This role is the first rung of a ladder to Senior Engagement Manager and beyond. What you will grow into owning
- The client relationship, end to end. You are the primary point of contact from pre-engagement through delivery and into ongoing account growth, the trusted advisor clients call first.
- Sales and new business. Partner with leadership and marketing to source and close new projects. Lead the proposal drafting process and drive deals through the sales process to signature.
- Scope and commercial health. Own scope, change requests, and deliverables. You steer what the engagement is; our Technical Project Managers own how it gets executed.
- Delivery oversight. Lead kickoffs, keep engagements tracking against the client's scope of work, and surface and resolve risks before they become problems.
- Stakeholder communication. Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and internal teams alike.
- Retention and expansion.
Support and grow the technologies we have built for clients, identify opportunities for additional work, and turn one-time projects into lasting partnerships. What we are looking for This is a junior role and we will train the right person. We care far more about how you think and how you carry yourself with people than about a specific resume.
Required:
- 0 to 2 years of work experience in something client-facing, coordination-heavy, or people-first: sales, hospitality, customer success, project coordination, an internship, or a strong recent degree. New grads are welcome.
- Exceptional communication, written and verbal. You can write a clear email and hold your own in a room with a client.
- Organized and reliable. You keep track of details and follow through without being chased.
- Genuinely enjoy working with people and solving their problems, and the drive to learn the business quickly.
- Able to work on-site full-time in Costa Mesa, with occasional travel for client meetings and events. Nice to have (not required, we will teach it):
- Any exposure to agencies, software, or professional services.
- Experience drafting proposals or coordinating projects.
- Curiosity about AI and emerging technology.
Compensation and benefits $90,000 to $120,000 OTE (on-target earnings), structured as a base salary plus a discretionary performance bonus tied to KPIs. Where you land in the range depends on experience and track record. Benefits include group medical coverage with a company contribution toward premiums, a 401(k), and paid time off. This role reports directly to the CEO. How to apply Apply through Indeed, or send your resume and a short note on a client relationship or project you are proud of to .
