This role suits a technically strong program manager with deep power electronics, motion control and multi-discipline engineering experience across R D, NPI and production delivery.
Technical Program Manager Role:
Manage a portfolio of R D and production programs for e-motor inverters and power converters, from business development through New Product Introduction. Lead program execution across proposal, requirements, design, development, integration, validation and delivery. Coordinate electrical, mechanical, controls, software and validation engineering workstreams. Act as the primary customer contact for proposals, requirements, design reviews, reporting and contractual deliverables. Identify program risks, dependencies and bottlenecks, developing mitigation plans and communicating status clearly. Work closely with engineering, supply chain and manufacturing teams to support timely delivery and risk reduction. Develop and manage program budgets, including labour, materials, cost tracking and financial reporting. Use Waterfall, Agile and hybrid development methods, with tools such as MS Project, GitLab, MS Teams and Excel.
Technical Program Manager Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of technical program management experience within aerospace, automotive, industrial or defence sectors. 5+ years of design and validation experience in power electronics systems for e-motor control or power conversion applications. Experience managing multiple full lifecycle programs across EV propulsion, aerospace power systems, industrial power systems or high-reliability electronics. Strong knowledge of power electronics, switch-mode conversion, motion control, digital circuits, analogue circuits and power electronic components. Experience with inverter development and control systems using tools such as MATLAB Simulink, Simscape or PLECS. Experience with embedded software, DSP, FPGA, multi-layer PCB design, mechanical or thermal design for power electronics, or related system architecture. Willingness to work fully on site in Southern California and travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
Pay:
$125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
