Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking two experienced Program Manager (Aerospace) professionals for direct hire opportunities onsite in Santa Ana, CA. This role supports a leading aerospace manufacturing environment and will oversee complex commercial, military, and space component programs from development through production. The Program Manager will have high visibility with customers, senior leadership, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for program schedules, technical requirements, contract deliverables, change requests, RFQs, and status updates.
  • Manage assigned programs through the full product lifecycle, including development, prototyping, production, delivery, and customer acceptance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and finance to meet cost, schedule, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Maintain financial ownership of programs, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, earned value analysis, and internal and external reporting.
  • Monitor program performance through KPIs, program reviews, risk mitigation plans, and corrective actions to keep deliverables on track.
  • Support new business proposals by assisting with cost inputs, technical narratives, program planning, and customer-facing documentation. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $175,000 to $200,000 per year.

  • Work location: Onsite in Santa Ana, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage complex aerospace, defense, military, commercial, or space component programs from development through production.
  • Lead program schedules, budgets, customer deliverables, technical coordination, and contract requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional execution with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial performance, earned value metrics, forecasting, risk mitigation, and executive-level reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of program or project management experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Proven experience managing complex aerospace or space-related programs through the full product lifecycle.
  • Experience working with aerospace primes, Tier 1 customers, or defense customers.
  • Strong technical understanding of aerospace product development, including fabrication, composites, ducting systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D quality standards, ITAR/EAR compliance, and defense industry requirements.
  • Experience leading teams through development, prototyping, production, and delivery milestones.
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems used for material planning, production planning, and program execution.
  • Advanced financial acumen, including cost analysis, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, customer-facing presence.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting programs for major aerospace, space, defense, or government customers.
  • Background with commercial, military, and space component manufacturing programs.
  • Experience supporting proposal development, technical narratives, pricing inputs, and customer negotiations.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
