Job Description

Position Summary:
The Area Captain oversees the successful implementation of youth sports and enrichment programs across multiple school sites across Sonoma County. This role is responsible for staff supervision, program quality, communication with school partners, and ensuring a positive, safe, and engaging environment for all participants. The right person for this opportunity loves sports and believes there is no better teaching tool for kids than team sports. As an Area Captain, we will train you on how to manage and operate professionally run youth sports programs, how to create a network in your territory, how to hire and train your own staff, and how to market your sports programs. You will have the support of a national brand to ensure your success. In 7 years the National Academy of Athletics has grown from 6 to 185 cities and 5 states. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, mentor, and support coaches and program staff across assigned sites Coordinate daily program operations, including scheduling, staffing, and equipment management Serve as the primary point of contact between school administrators, parents, and the organization Ensure all programs are delivered in alignment with organizational standards and curriculum Conduct site visits to monitor program quality, provide feedback, and maintain consistency Address and resolve participant, parent, or staff concerns in a timely and professional manner Track attendance, participation, and program performance metrics Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new staff members Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all students Marketing & Growth Support program enrollment through on-site promotion, outreach, and relationship building Collaborate on marketing initiatives including social media, flyers, and school-based campaigns Represent the organization at school events, community events, and recruitment opportunities Identify opportunities for program expansion and increased engagement at assigned sites Maintain strong relationships with school communities to drive retention and growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in Communications, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field Experience in youth sports, education, recreation, or program coordination Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously Experience supervising or managing staff preferred Passion for working with youth and building community-based programs

Compensation:
$20/hour + commission (based on program enrollment and growth performance)
