Founded in 1984, Child Lane has grown from serving a handful of children to serving nearly 6,000 children a day through our Early Care and Education Program and Nutrition Program. Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Program Manager, the Nutrition Program Field Representative monitors the implementation of the Nutrition Program in licensed family child care homes and provides individualized technical assistance to contracted providers. Evening and weekend work is required. Essential Position Responsibilities Monitor providers on the caseload to ensure appropriate program implementation. Generate monitoring reports according to set guidelines and deadlines. Other responsibilities as assigned. Provide technical assistance and training based on observations and knowledge of individual providers. Research and offer resources to providers in need of additional support. Other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in and co-facilitate meetings, workshops, and trainings. Represent the Nutrition Program at community events and meetings. Participate in staff development opportunities to maintain knowledge of industry standards and contract amendments. Other responsibilities as assigned. Competencies Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Exceptional customer service skills. High degree of professionalism and accountability. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Education, Permit and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree required. One year of paid work experience in a related field. TB screen and other required vaccinations. Valid California Driver's License and access to transportation. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not perform any supervisory responsibilities. Physical Requirements Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Travel Requirements Frequent local travel required.
