Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and implementation of programs at specific locations within the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. This role involves overseeing program activities, supervising staff, engaging with students and school site staff, and ensuring the program operates effectively to meet the needs of participants. The Program Manager will provide guidance and support to Student Recreation Specialists, and other program support staff within the Expanded Learning Academy, collaborating to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based strategies to enhance the quality and impact of programs across multiple sites. This position reports to their Executive Director to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement program schedules, activities, and curriculum in alignment with program goals, objectives, and policies.
Coaching and Mentoring:
Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to Student Recreation Specialists, and other program support staff, helping them to develop their skills in program facilitation and student engagement strategies. Conduct regular site visits to observe program activities, provide feedback, and offer guidance on best practices for program implementation and improvement.
Student Supervision and Support:
Supervise students during program hours, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in program activities. Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to students, fostering positive relationships and creating a supportive learning environment.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate regularly with school stakeholders to provide program updates, share student progress, and solicit feedback on program activities and services.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate program records, including attendance, enrollment, and participant information, in compliance with program and regulatory requirements.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
Collect and analyze data on program outcomes, participant feedback, and stakeholder input to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies for program enhancement and innovation based on evaluation findings and best practices.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with program policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as relevant legal and safety standards. Prepare and submit reports to program administrators, funders, and regulatory agencies as required, documenting program activities, achievements, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, child development, social work, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Previous experience working in before, during, and after school programs or related youth-serving organizations. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise staff, engage students and families, and coordinate program activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate with stakeholders, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Knowledge of program planning, curriculum development, and youth development principles. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform the physical activities associated with program supervision and implementation, including standing, walking, and participating in recreational and enrichment activities, with or without reasonable accommodation. Proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software applications. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
TB Test Negative Pay:
$58,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
