Mentor and Teacher Induction Program Coordinator Salary:
Placement on the Certified salary schedule is commensurate with education and teaching experience. Starting base salary is $51,000. Actual placement on the salary schedule is based on experience and education.
Summary:
The Mentor and Induction Program Coordinator will manage the district-wide mentorship program and the MCSD Teacher Induction Program. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Previous educational experience and knowledge preferred but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include : Mentorship and Teacher Induction Program Manage district-wide mentorship program Work with the administration to recruit and pair mentor teachers with mentees Provide accountability for mentors and mentees to ensure progress is being made on mentorship programming in a timely manner Monitor the progress of mentee teachers through communication with mentors and principals/directors Organize and direct induction events for new teachers Manage substitute teacher rotation to allow for mentor and mentee teachers observing one another during classroom hours Collaborate with administration on setting goals and directives for mentors and mentees as the program evolves

MCSDSalarySchedule Language Skills:
Ability to read and analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.
