Job Description

Experiential Education Facilitator This posting will be open through Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 4pm MST.
Pay Range:
$21-22/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a committed and relationship-centered individual to work with at-risk youth, facilitating experiential learning groups. This is a hands-on, part-time role focused on planning and leading engaging, experiential learning opportunities that help youth and young adults build confidence, practical life skills, and stronger connections to community and nature. The Facilitator creates safe, supportive, and developmentally responsive experiences, including outdoor education, arts programming, skill-building workshops, and group-based learning. Through consistent, relationship-based facilitation, the role promotes self-efficacy and resilience while supporting participants' progress toward education, employment, and housing stability. By integrating experiential activities into TMH's youth programming, the Facilitator helps participants apply what they learn in meaningful, real-world ways.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or Counseling is preferred. Associate Degree in Psychology,Social Work, or similar field is required. 2+ years of experience in youth development, outdoor education, experiential learning, or a related field is preferred. Must be able to transport and have a clean driving record. Must pass a CBI/FBI fingerprint screening and drug test. Knowledge of local community and resources preferred. Bilingual/bicultural Spanish speaker is preferred but not required. Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities Program Design & Facilitation - 80% Develop and facilitate experiential learning activities, outdoor education experiences, and skill-building workshops. Ensure programming is trauma-informed, inclusive, and aligned with youth goals related to education, employment, and life skills. Build positive, strengths-based relationships with youth and young adults. Support group dynamics, encourage leadership development, and elevate youth voice in program design and evaluation. Safety, Risk Management & Logistics - 10% Plan and manage logistics for activities and trips, including transportation, equipment, permissions, and safety protocols. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with TMH safety and insurance requirements. Documentation, Data & Reporting - 10% Maintain attendance, activity logs, incident reports, and outcome tracking in Community Care Link (CCL) and internal systems. Support grant and funder reporting. Assist with other duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE
Schedule will be 20 hours per week, Tuesday-Saturday, primarily during the after-school hours, varying between 12pm-8pm. Services will be provided out in the community and in our buildings.
