Discover your opportunities at Yale! Overview Coordinate survey research projects across multiple stages of the research lifecycle, including survey development, fielding, and delivery of results. Coordinate with YPCCC administrative staff regarding vendor setup and contracting for survey research projects. Coordinate with the survey team and other YPCCC teams to prepare survey content releases. Manage, track, and update internal documentation such as IRB forms, Salesforce, and research archives. Monitor project timelines and progress; proactively flag issues and coordinate with the program manager and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables stay on track. Manage communication with external vendors during the development and fielding of survey research projects. Answer data requests from the research, social media, and partnership teams. As needed, assist in data analysis and visualization, proofreading, and writing tasks for project deliverables. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities 1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or discipline, such as applied mathematics, statistics, or data science, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. 2. Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 3. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. 4. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills with both academic and non-academic stakeholders. 5. Proficiency with Google Docs, Office 365, and Zoom and Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Skills and Abilities 1. Basic knowledge of and/or interest in learning about survey research techniques and processes, particularly in areas related to public attitudes regarding climate change both in the U.S. and internationally. 2. Experience communicating research findings to technical and non-technical audiences. 3. Experience working with climate change perception and/or public opinion data. 4. Proficiency in data analysis using R, SPSS, or other statistics packages. Principal Responsibilities 1. Oversees the advancement and growth of the program. Gives direction and leadership supporting the philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives. Assumes primary accountability for disseminating and publishing all program information to create public awareness and support of the program. 2. Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans. 3. Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations to assist in the development and growth of the program. Develops the metrics to identify and measure the success of the program. Responsible for measurements of grant success and related evaluation. 4. Assists in identifying and evaluating potential future funding sources, and contributes to the submission of grants and contracts supporting the program, including the annual submission and writing of all content areas and budgetary sections of grant applications. Develops and manages the program's operating budget. 5. Develops the administrative infrastructure of the program. Manages human resource and administrative functions of the program, including staffing and hiring, supervision, performance development, counseling and discipline, if warranted. Oversees and manages information systems, facilities, and space needs. 6. Investigates, identifies, implements, and oversees the maintenance of systems to gather, track, and report information to support the initiatives of the program. Tracks all program activities and regularly informs leadership of progress on each initiative. Recommends structural or programmatic adjustments, changes or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals, and objectives. 7. Initiates, designs, and manages the compilation of program communications; identifying outreach potential, and promoting philanthropic and collaborative support of the program. Contributes to the development and assists in the management of content on the program's website and monitors all changes and additions to the editorial content. 8. May perform other duties as assigned.
