Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Advocacy Unlimited offers holistic, peer-led, education, advocacy, and support in the areas of mental health, addiction, and trauma recovery. We walk with people as they recognize their innate capacity to create a life of self-defined purpose beyond a psychiatric diagnosis and addiction histories. All members of the team champion recovery resources as part of the continuum of care and model recovery with collective care, accountability, and ethics. To learn more, please go to www.advocacyunlimited.org The person in this position will lead the operations of AU's Young People Recovery Services, including Join Rise Be Emerging Adult Recovery Initiative and the Youth Peer Bridger Program. The person in this role is responsible for ensuring operations and fiscal management is in compliance with regulations, policy, and standards of practice. This includes program development and management for efficiency, quality assurance, and fiscal solvency. In addition, this role is responsible for supervising personnel within AU's Young People Recovery Services department. Additionally, the Director of Young People Recovery Services is a cross organizational management position and requires participation in strategic planning and policy development across the organization. It is the responsibility of this person to represent the vision, mission, and values of AU in all space and groups both within the organization, and the community at large.
FULL-TIME EXEMPT EMPLOYMENT
Salary $72,000, 180 Day Introductory Period with Performance Evaluation at the conclusion of this period. Inclusive of Benefits outlined in the Advocacy Unlimited Personnel Handbook.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Work with Executive Director to direct organizational development, including analysis and implementation of priorities, partnerships, and infrastructure needs within the Young People Recovery Services Department. Manage daily operations Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of personnel in accordance with programmatic needs, availability of resources, and in accordance with organizational policy. Create flyers, emails, and other external communications and champion YPRS programming in the community. Carry out point of contact responsibilities with project funder, partners, and contract monitors. Participate in the cross organizational management team to ensure consistency, cooperation and communication across the organization. Maintain organizational infrastructure to support AU's work, including administration, facilities, finance, human resources, new media and technology. Monitor budget and financial controls in accordance with approved policies and available resources Ensure that job descriptions are followed, performance evaluations are completed and adherence to personnel policies. Regularly report on defined quality indicators and oversee compliance with contractual obligations. Meet all internal accountability standards. Engage in contingency planning and crisis management as it relates to each program. Responsible for both the sustainability and growth of the Peer Recovery Services Division of AU Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Recovery Support Specialist Professional or eligible for training, required Master's degree in Counseling or a related field, and valid state licensure, preferred with compensation 3+ years delivering direct support in human services or related field 5+ years in a management position with supervisory responsibility Experience with program development and evaluation Must have a reliable vehicle, clean driving record, up to date Motor Vehicle Insurance and Driver's License Background checks are required At least 2 professional references
