Position:
The Program Facilitator for the SAFE Waterbury program is a part-time, seasonal/ temporary position focused on engaging at-risk youth and their families through community outreach and educational activities. The role involves coordinating program activities, maintaining student records, and working closely with parents to support student success. It requires a bachelor's degree, experience working with youth, and strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively fulfill program goals. Once the season ends, our hope is to have a permanent position for you Will utilize a company vehicle to pick students up from school from time to time Maintains database on attendance and student demographics Maintains daily contact with all program participants Facilitate program curriculum/facilitate job club component Plan and implement lessons for job club component Make sure all participants are in the correct component Coordinate parent meetings and trainings including outreach to parents Help create job shadowing opportunities for participants Organize and recruit speaker's bureau for job club component Inform parents on absent participants on a daily basis Collect report cards and school schedules Schedule students to attend college tours they are interested in Help organize special celebrations and cultural eventsSchedule and Rate of Pay :
2 options: Option 1: Monday- Friday 2:00pm
- 5:00pm (15 hours per week) Option 2: Monday
- Friday 2:30pm
- 5:30pm (15 hours per week) Both positions pay $23.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field- Required Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver's License
- Required 2-years of experience working with at-risk youth
