Adult Day Training Program Specialist

We are searching for an energetic, open-minded, fun person that will lead our consumers in classes, recreational and community outings based on their wants, needs, and desires. This position is Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 2:30 pm, 35 hours/week Job overview: Works to develop resources and expand curriculum. Collaborates with community partners to provide experiences and outing opportunities to enhance the lives of our consumers.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to teach and coach our consumers
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Must pass level 2 background screening which includes federal and local criminal screening, drug testing, and fingerprinting
• Must possess a Florida driver's license with a clean driving record (3 years) as supported by a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

General Responsibilities:

• Always treat our consumers with dignity and respect
• Assist and support consumers to help them uncover and fulfill their wants, needs, and desires to actively participate in their community
• Encourage choices in daily activities and outings
• Transport individuals to assigned community sites while driving Arc vehicle.
• Maintain supervision of assigned group while interacting with consumers in a cheerful, positive, and respectful manner
• Ensure accurate documentation including quarterly progress notes, support plan, implementation documentation, data collection, and consumer timesheets
• Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others internally and in the community
• Works with and, as needed, provides oversight to volunteers assisting with facilitation of ADT
• Research, plan, and implement recreational activities that promote indoor and outdoor recreation to enrich the quality of life for our consumers A full job description will be provided as needed.
