- Distinguishing Characteristics of Work The primary focus of this position is to input data into the Florida Drug Court Case Management System (FDCCMS) and the Florida Dependency Court Information System (FDCIS). The ideal candidate must possess the ability to accurately enter large amounts of data into databases, effectively analyze data and rectify data discrepancies. Examples of Work Performed
- Prepares and sorts documents for data entry.
- Maintains physical and electronic files.
- Maintains confidentiality of case information.
- Plans, organizes, and completes special assignments and projects.
- Manages time effectively and organizes information to ensure that data is entered timely.
- Enters alphanumeric data from handwritten and typed documents into a computer system.
- Reviews court documents and transcripts to extract specific data elements (e.g., demographic data, referral dates, service dates, and program completion dates).
- Tracks and inputs drug test results, phase changes, treatment compliance and school attendance.
- Inputs program completion, graduation dates, or termination reasons.
- Inputs comprehensive participant data including demographics, case numbers, criminal history, referral types, admission and discharge data, eligibility assessments, final admission choices and other data elements required by Florida Problem-Solving Courts.
- Processes and files consents for the release of confidential information, authorizations for the use and disclosure of substance use disorder counseling notes, waivers, official letters, and other related correspondence and legal documents.
- Updates Florida Drug Court Case Management System, Florida Dependency Court Information System and spreadsheets.
- Timeliness and attendance are essential functions of this job.
Education and Experience Guidelines Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or judicial administration, business, education, social work, or a related social science is required. One year of experience in program administration or program evaluation, along with progressive experience in data entry is also required. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to operate a personal computer and use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and logically. Ability to deal tactfully and patiently with court personnel, outside agencies and the general public. Ability to analyze data and case information. Ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines.
