The Program Coordinator acts as lead case manager, provides supervision to professional case management staff, continually monitors and improves case management practices for the effective and efficient disposition of civil cases, and compiles case tracking reports for the Judiciary and Court Administration. This position performs diverse tasks requiring a vast knowledge of legal procedures. Effective working relationships are established with the judges, court system personnel, attorneys and the general public. The program managed by this position is designed to promote continuous case management and early resolution of disputed issues and to ensure that judicial resources are reserved for complex issues. This position reports to the Civil Manager and Civil/Family Division Director. The Program Coordinator's primary responsibilities include the following:(1) Supervision and Leadership, (2) Management and Development, (3) Lead Case Manager; and (4) Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. (1) Supervision & Leadership Provide leadership to case management staff Supervise case management staff Assist with or perform as directed annual performance evaluations Oversee the efficient and effective processing of a large volume and variety of cases Train staff on proper case identification and interpret pending case load lists Train staff on the use of various court programs and applications (2) Management & Development Maintenance of case management plans Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for case management Maintain and provide case management reports and statistical information, when required Meet with Judges as needed to review case data, workflow management etc. (3) Lead Case Manager Conduct case management Montor case movement by case management staff to promote effective and efficient disposition of cases Review pending case data and report for case integrity and accuracy Review pending case data for cases that need judicial intervention Monitor caseload reports for compliance with services of process time standards, as well as general time standards Prepare case management plans Prepare draft orders as directed Case research (4) Other Duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:
State of Florida laws that pertain to civil cases State of Florida Rules as they pertain to civil cases Extensive knowledge of the State Courts System Personnel management techniques Case management techniques Differentiated Case Management principles and techniques Ability to: Work efficiently and effectively with a large volume of cases Deal effectively with judges, non-judicial personnel, attorneys, mediators, and the general public Effectively lead and develop staff Deal effectively with people in stressful situations Grasp, comprehend, and analyze complex legal issues and complicated factual details Communicate ideas and concepts effectively verbally and in writing Travel to attend training, seminars, conferences and/or meetings within the circuit and within the State of Florida. Exercise discretion, confidentiality, impartiality, and honesty in handling matters before the court Maintain organization and meet deadlines. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on management, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or a related field. Four years of experience in legal or public administration, two years of which should include supervisory experience. Responsible professional level case management experience in a state courts system may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
