- 5:00 PM Industry administrative & support services (Office and Administrative Support Occupations) Reference number S_179318 Job details The scope of work for the Program Coordinator involves assisting with writing outreach documents, coordinating with committee members, and planning community outreach events, each of which involves development and management of relationships with multiple departments across various offices and departments.
Responsibilities:
- Exudes a positive customer service focus.
- Supports the organizational culture through aligning decisions with core values including: integrity, honesty, respect, diversity, innovation, accountability and communication
- Confers with staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of program
- Reviews reports and records of program activity, and coordinates with internal offices and departments to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objective
- In consultation with staff, modifies and/or changes program methodology as required to redirect activities and to attain program objectives
- Prepares program reports for higher level supervisors
- Responds to inquiries and/or complaints regarding the operation of the program
- Answers multi-line incoming calls. Screens, evaluates, and responds to calls and emails from internal and external customers for Resiliency Division Working hours: 8:30 AM
- 5:00
PM Skills:
- A background in climate, sustainability, and environmental sciences, policies, and/or processes
- Connections to local (Alachua County and surrounding area) climate and environmental groups
- Thorough knowledge of current practices and principles of the program(s) or program area(s)
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations related to the program(s) or program area(s)
- Ability to develop and implement operating policies and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the public, contractors, local business owners and Constitutional Officers
- Ability to attain proficiency in the operation of computer hardware, software and related programs
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to prepare and organize written reports
Education:
Bachelors Experience:
1-4 yearsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to sustainability, the environment, or climate or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicants within six months of meeting the education/experience requirement may be considered, particularly if they meet "strong preference" criteria
- Successful completion of all applicable background checks pre-hire and ongoing are required
