Job Description

Key Responsibilities Include Complete assigned rotations across designated business areas to build enterprise knowledge and practical banking experience. Learn each rotation area's purpose, priorities, operating model, key processes, and connection to broader bank strategy. Support assigned projects, business initiatives, client-related activities, process improvements, or operational work as directed by rotation supervisors. Build understanding of how banking functions work together to serve clients, manage risk, improve performance, and support enterprise goals. Participate fully in required program activities, including orientation, cohort meetings, offsites, leadership development sessions, SME workshops, and assigned learning. Complete program assignments, reflection activities, development plans, performance check-ins, and end-of-rotation evaluations on time. Engage with rotation supervisors, mentors, sponsors, program leaders, and peers to seek feedback, strengthen relationships, and support growth. Apply learning and feedback to improve communication, leadership presence, business acumen, adaptability, and overall performance. Prepare updates, summaries, presentations, or recommendations related to rotation work and program assignments. Contribute to capstone or program-related project work that demonstrates enterprise learning, critical thinking, and leadership readiness. Demonstrate professionalism, curiosity, accountability, sound judgment, and commitment to the bank's values throughout the program. Qualifications Include Recent or soon-to-be college graduate within 12 months of graduation Recent First Horizon interns are encouraged to apply GPA 3.0 Business, Finance, Economics, IT, & Accounting majors preferred Demonstrated strong performance, learning agility, and organizational impact Interest in building a long-term career with First Horizon Ability to commit to the full 24-month rotational program Willingness to rotate across business areas, functions, teams, and locations as required. Ability to participate in required travel, offsites, cohort activities, and development sessions. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage ambiguity, adapt to new environments, and apply feedback. Demonstrated leadership potential through work performance, project contributions, peer influence, client support, internship experience, or team involvement. Interest in banking, financial services, risk, technology, operations, client experience, or enterprise leadership. Comfort working with data, systems, processes, and business performance information. Must Reside in, or have the ability to work from one of the designated hub cities: Memphis; Dallas; Nashville; Miami; Birmingham; New Orleans; Charlotte Core Competencies Successful NexGen Program Associates are expected to demonstrate and continue developing the following competencies:
