Job Description

Youth Program Facilitator - Part-Time
BIG SIS INC
Orlando, FL Job Details Part-time $19 - $21 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Engaging lesson design (student motivation techniques) Full Job Description About BIG SIS Inc. BIG SIS Inc. (Becoming Independent, Goal-oriented, and Self-Sufficient In Society) is an Orlando-based nonprofit founded in 2008 by a formerly homeless teen mother who turned her experience into purpose. For 17 years, we have served women and girls across Orange County through programs in youth empowerment, maternal health, reentry support, transitional housing, and community outreach. Our mobile unit, The HUB (Help & Uplift Bus), takes our programs directly into the communities that need them most. The Role We're looking for an energetic, creative, and passionate Youth Program Facilitator to join our team part-time. This isn't a desk job. You'll be in the room with real young people who need real connection, real skills, and real support. You will design and lead curriculum-driven programming across our youth enrichment initiatives, serving girls and young women ages 5-18, including teens navigating some of life's toughest circumstances. If you love working with youth, you are a natural group facilitator, and you actually enjoy the planning and prep side this role is for you. What You'll Do Design age-appropriate, culturally responsive lesson plans and activity guides for youth program sessions. Facilitate group workshops, life skills sessions, and enrichment activities at community sites, schools, and on the HUB mobile unit. Develop materials including worksheets, games, creative projects, and hands-on activities that engage and inspire participants. Build genuine relationships with youth participants that encourage trust, consistency, and growth. Track attendance, complete session documentation, and support program reporting requirements. Work across multiple youth initiatives and adapt your facilitation style to meet the needs of different age groups and populations. Collaborate with our Program Coordinators and Success Coaches to deliver cohesive, mission-aligned programming. What We're Looking For 2+ years of direct experience working with youth in schools, mentoring programs, community organizations, or youth development settings. Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate your own curriculum, lessons, or activities — not just follow a script. Strong group management skills and the confidence to hold a room of teens. Genuine passion for working with young women, girls, and youth who are navigating real challenges. Familiar with or open to training in trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning. Reliable transportation; must be able to travel to community sites and partner locations throughout Orange County. Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole is a strong plus. Must pass Level II background screening before starting. Schedule & Compensation This is a part-time, hourly position, averaging 10-20 hours per week depending on program activity. Some evenings and Saturdays are required. Pay range is $19.00-$21.00 per hour depending on experience.
