This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a dynamic program that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to express themselves through a wide variety of artistic mediums. The artwork created in our studio is showcased and sold in our gallery and at numerous foundation events, making a meaningful impact in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of the art studio program, ensuring a supportive and inspiring environment for participants and staff. Work hands-on with adults with I/DD, guiding them in creating art across diverse mediums such as painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more. Supervise and collaborate with studio staff, providing leadership, training, and support to foster a cohesive team. Coordinate the display and sale of artwork in the studio gallery and at foundation events, promoting the talents of our artists. Develop and implement program schedules, activities, and goals that enhance artistic growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with strong organizational and team management skills. Direct experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), with a deep understanding of their unique needs and strengths. Passion for the arts and creativity, with knowledge of various artistic mediums and techniques (hands-on art experience a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, participants, and the community. Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Why Join Us?
