Offender Work Program Coordinator

The offender work program coordinator will supervise and direct participants in the sentenced defendant's program. He/she will ensure compliance, work in conjunction with the clerk's office for appropriate documentation, conduct assessments and utilize proper resources for successful completions. The supervisor should have knowledge of other governmental and non-profit agencies at is relates to this program.

Tasks:

Complete assignment as directed; maintain work areas; knowledge of general orders; supervise defendants in work program; program compliance; liaison with the clerk's office; and conduct needs assessment. Two years relevant work experience Must be able to effectively supervise low level, non-violent offenders who are sentenced to the Offender Work Program. Have the ability to ensure that participants are in compliance with all work program rules and regulations. Should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in the use of computer and office equipment to perform administrative tasks. Problem solving and conflict resolution abilities are essential. Leadership and motivational skills preferred.
