We are currently looking for a Volunteer Program Coordinator. In this role, you will be helping recruit volunteers to help within our various Departments and events hosted by Sarasota County. Job Description:
Develop and implement goals and objectives for the volunteer program. Plan and implement recognition activities that recognize the contribution of volunteers to the organization. Coordinate with volunteer department coordinators to create more volunteer impact. Create Social Media and Marketing materials. Post volunteer opportunities, descriptions and review new applications. Train volunteers to record their hours. Maintain the volunteer website and intranet site. Implement new software features to enhance communication and documentation of volunteer activities. Create and generate tracking reports. Explore unique and non-traditional roles for volunteers. Coordinate with Sheriff's Office to ensure local background checks are completed; assist with coordination of Level 2 background checks. Lead/participate/attend community and volunteer meetings; attend volunteer seminars and training. Collaborate with community partners to increase awareness of volunteer opportunities and enhance program delivery.
About You Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with major course work in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Human Resources or job-related field and two (2) years job-related experience.
  • OR•Six (6) years professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.
  • OR•Related professional program/ project management may substitute for the required education at management discretion.
About Everything Else Pay:
$50,500.00
  • $54,500.
