Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 20 S. Military Trail, WPB 36125 Coordinates and manages all programs under the Logistics Section of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Supervises the Logistics Section staff and exercises administrative control over assigned programs and activities. Responsible for formulating, implementing, and assisting with programs and facility and systems planning and development. Responsible for management and direct administrative control over the County Warning Point assigned operations and activities. Work is performed with considerable independent judgment and initiative in resolving administrative, technical, and operational problems. Work is reviewed through periodic conferences, reports, and evaluation of results obtained. Serves as the primary liaison to the Logistics Section Chief during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activities and assists the Director as needed.QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following : Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Public/Business Administration, or closely related field; minimum of four (4) years of experience in Public Safety, Emergency Management, or closely related field, including one (1) year of experience supervising the work of others, OR Unrelated Bachelor's Degree OR related Associate's Degree; minimum of six (6) years of experience in Public Safety, Emergency Management, or closely related field, including one (1) year of experience supervising the work of others, OR Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Public Safety, Emergency Management, or closely related field, including one (1) year of experience supervising the work of others.NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate for this position MUST complete the following : National Incident Management System (NIMS) training courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-703, and IS-800 within six (6) months of hireAND NIMS
training courses Incident Command System (ICS)-300 and ICS-400 within 11 months of hire.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include : Five (5) years of administrative experience, Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification, Security clearance, and Three (3) years of logistics/supply chain management experience.
