Community Vaccination Program Coordinator Estimated Hours per
Week:
up to 40 Temp/contract assignment with Hawai'i State Department of Health, Disease Outbreak Control Division | Immunization Branch Position Overview Seeking a highly skilled Community Vaccination Program Specialist to support a government public health initiative. This role is ideal for professionals with strong backgrounds in program management, business administration, data analysis, and public health operations . You will independently lead and evaluate community-based vaccination programs, including school-located clinics and emergency response initiatives, while supporting strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program performance analysis. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute community and school-based vaccination clinics Facilitate and lead cross-functional stakeholder meetings (schools, providers, agencies) Develop, review, and refine program policies, SOPs, and workflows Analyze program data (clinic volume, vaccination rates, training outcomes) and generate reports Deliver executive-level communications, presentations, and program updates Support training development and delivery for immunization providers Provide consultation and support to community partners and internal teams Design and distribute educational and outreach materials Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Services, or related field Minimum 1.5+ years of experience in a role requiring analytical and program coordination skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to work independently and make informed decisions Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Must pass background check Preferred / Desired Skill Sets We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: Business Administration & Operations Management Data Analysis / Informatics / Reporting Program Management / PMO Support Governance & Executive Communications Project Management Office (PMO) Consulting Technical Writing & Documentation SOP Development & Workflow Design Public Health or Community Outreach Programs Ideal Candidate Profile Strong analytical thinker with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Excellent communicator comfortable presenting to leadership and stakeholders Highly organized with strong project and time management skills Experience working in government, healthcare, or large-scale program environments is a plus Ability to balance strategy, operations, and execution Why Join?
